Kids memberships are ongoing memberships but are paused over the school holiday periods. As with all our memberships there is a 4 week notice for cancellation.

We teach BJJ as a mixture of BJJ related games and grappling sparring. Kids have lots of time on task and wrestling each other leading to fast improvements in skill and boat loads of fun!
Each half of term we focus on two of the 4 main areas of grappling skills:
Standing to ground
Guard and Guard passing
Top pinning and submissions
Escaping
We have 3 kids age groups:
14+ should enter our Juvenile Programmes
To be eligible for grading kids need to attend 16 classes at each belt/tab level, this can be achieved over a term or however long needed. Kids are graded at the end of each school term
Our kids programmes are NoGi as it fosters good basic principles of grappling control and saves you money on Gi’s as they grow out of them so fast!
Our Kids Kickboxing, MMA and Wrestling Programmes are for kids aged 5-13.
Kids 14+ should enter our Juvenile Programmes.
It is taught as a combination of Kickboxing, MMA and Wrestling classes where kids learn the fundamentals of striking and how to combine this with grappling skills, as well as the Olympic styles of wrestlign including Freestyle and Greco-Roman.
We have two age groups for our kids Kickboxing/MMA classes
Our Kids Wrestling classes combine all kids ages from 5-13 years old.
We run a grading programme for kids similar to our BJJ Programme where kids are eligible for grading after attending a minimum of 16 classes at each belt/tab level. This can be achieved over a term or however long is needed and they can use any combination of Wrestling, MMA or Kickboxing classes to make this up. Grading happens at the end of each school term.
Kids Strength gives kids access to our S+C gym site, kids gym classes as well as 24/7 access to the gym providing they have an accompanying responsible adult.
The kids classes focus on kids developing good motor skills and movement patterns as well as learning the fundamentals of strength and conditioning training. The goal being for them to have fun whilst exercising to foster good long term health habits.
Classes are Tuesday and Thursday 4-430pm for Kids 5-9 year olds and 430-5pm for 10-13 year olds.
14+ will enter our Juvenile memberships and train with the adult classes.
Our Kids Judo programme is for kids aged 5-13 years old. Kids aged 14+ should be in our Juvenile Programme and train with the adults.
Our Judo programme is taught as part of the Judo NZ. And focuses on Olympic Style Judo. Kids learn a combination of standing and ground techniques focusing on how to fall and land safely, how to throw and trip opponents to the mat and how to submit them once on the floor.
Judo grading is run in accordance with the Judo NZ curriculum and follows a standard Judo grading system led by our Judo coaches.
